Jayson
Guitar Teacher, Bass Guitar Teacher, Drum Teacher
Thanks to his father and uncle being touring musicians, Jay started singing at just 3 years old and began learning drums throughout elementary and middle school. Jay moved on to learning guitar his freshman year, after being inspired by two of his brothers who also played. He spent years writing material, and, after enough songs, started a blues trio, Blue Jay & The Robins. While working with United Talent Corp., the trio released an album.
Jay would then go on to spend two years doing session work and talent scouting around Chicago, before taking a break from music to serve as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy. Since 2020, music has become more of a spiritual hobby than a career. Not wanting to waste his experience and knowledge, Jay felt the desire to spread what he knows to the next generation of amazing musicians whether it's through direct instruction for guitar, bass, drums, or vocals, or from the producing, talent, and recording side of the industry.
