After months of dreaming and building, we are so excited to welcome students of all ages to School of Rock Ankeny. Thank you to the wonderful community for celebrating with us.

Lily Beimer discovered her interest in playing guitar because there happened to be one at her house. Since starting at School of Rock nearly a year ago, she is now more inspired than ever to continue learning new skills.

Before the Iowa State Fair kicked off, spectators got to enjoy a fun parade in Downtown Des Moines. Of the 200+ floats watched by an estimated 10,000 viewers, one of them was the flatbed acting as a stage for the School of Rock West Des Moines House Band. Way to kick off the fair with some awesome rock jams!

Easy come, easy go, the School of Rock West Des Moines adult student performance band takes on a wide range of vocal groups during the season show at Kenny's Garage in Waukee, and the crowd loved it!

When Allegra Hernandez played the piano at age 9, they didn't think music would be their career. Since hitting the keys as a child, their interest in music led them to become the music director at School of Rock West Des Moines. Read on to see what inspired the musician to become a teacher.
